What is it?
It is a practice that combines Eastern and Western thought, to interact with a person’s spine, nervous system and energetic field, to harness a person’s own innate wisdom to know and heal themselves. Each living being is not just a physical form but also a being of energy. Energy encompasses each of our aspects; physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and soul.
Through light yet powerful touch (and often no touch), an organic flow of movement and sound begins and progresses to shift, unwind, discover and release tension, resistance, and stories that may have been stored in the body. Spinal Energetics is not something I ‘do’ to a client, it is a practice of collaboration to cultivate and support deep self-awareness in clients to help them soften and-or strengthen patterns of resistance and-or submission that may be preventing wellbeing from flowing to them.
What should I expect in a session?
Everyone's experience is unique to them. Common experiences are energy sensations (heat, cold, tingling), voluntary and spontaneous body movements (twitch, stretch, spinal flow-like movements), and emotional releases (stuck emotions may arise, as well as laughing and crying). I welcome you to express whatever your body is calling for during the session, such as making sounds and stretching.
How should I prepare for a session?
Come as you are and wear comfortable clothing. I encourage you to take the time, if you can, prior to a session to check in with yourself. This may include a mindfulness meditation, journaling, lighting a candle, breathwork, some light yoga, etc...whatever is it you enjoy doing to bring yourself back to center.
For virtual sessions, position your device so I can see your body from head to toe when you lay down in a comfortable spot such as a bed or yoga mat.
If you have in-person session, I do touch your feet and therefore some folks prefer to wear socks - though I promise you your feet don't bother me :)
What will I feel like after a session?
Often people feel an ease of physical symptoms, better quality sleep, clearer mind, less mood swings, reduced anxiety and stress, increased or decreased energy levels, and deeper connection to self. It is not uncommon to feel a little disoriented or light-headed immediately after a session, as well a greater awareness in your body, regions of ease and discomfort, detoxification experienced as nausea, change in bowel movement or headaches, and emotional releases.
Is there anything I should do after a session?
It can take up to 72 hours after a session for it to settle in the body. This makes it a great time to do any variety of integration practices such as rest, journaling, mindfulness meditations, grounding & spending time in nature, and practicing your breathwork. Don't forget to hydrate to assist in the expelling of toxins.
Does everyone "move" during a session?
Each person’s response to the treatment is very unique. Some people move a little, others move a lot during their first session. Some people take months or years; other’s never "move" at all. It is important to note, that the amount of movement does not directly correlate to the amount of depth or benefits a person may receive during a session.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is going to be different as we all have different life experiences. This is not a one session "fix". It is recommended to commit to at least 3 sessions biweekly to begin with. This will give you the opportunity to adapt. After a good foundation is set, folks typically continue monthly for well-being. I encourage people to intuitively dictate their pace. There is no right or wrong.
What if I don't feel anything?
Those that are not used to energy work or may not have a mind/body connection can feel less than those that engage in a regular practice. Increasing meditation, breathwork, yoga and the like can all help increase energy connection.

Are virtual appointments just as effective as in-person?
Absolutely; energy is not confined to time or space. I'll be the first one to admit I was skeptical at first, but then I started performing and receiving it this way. During virtual sessions, I'll even have people ask if I am working on a particular area, and indeed, it would be the place where I was working.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation that also promotes energy healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on "life force energy" flows that through us.
What should I expect in a session?
You can either lay down or stay seated, whichever is most comfortable for you. Some people don't feel anything at all during a session while others may feel heat, chills, tingling, and the like. You may feel sleepy and yawn as the energy soothes and calms you too. I may get visions or messages while working with your energy that I will share with you, and I do ask that you please take everything with a grain of salt.

What is it?
Health Coaching is where you get to talk about what your health and wellness goals are and how you can achieve them. This is done by driving accountability, identifying what's getting in your way, and developing strategies to overcome your barriers to become the best version of yourself.
What is it NOT?
Health Coaching is not prescribing meal plans, exercise regimes, provide psychotherapy, or promise any quick fixes. That would be an injustice to you. Rather it is about focusing on habits and behaviors to help you reach your health and wellness goals.
